Whether you are still at work or taking some time off, our Summer Series is a great way to freshen up your normal routine by getting outdoors and meeting some wonderful partners throughout San Antonio.

Teachers and educators will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of outdoor experiences and educational workshops. Our hope is to connect you with resources across San Antonio and provide unique ways to seek professional development.

Professional
development opportunities

We recognize that sometimes, as an educator, the line between work and play can be blurred, so we decided to lean into that! After all, we here at Outdoor School also love what we do. Because of this, we want to make sure you get the most out of signing up for an experience with our Summer Series. To that end, Outdoor School, along with the organizations we partner with, work to ensure the experiences we offer provide Professional Development Credits to help you advance your career!

Partnerships with local
San Antonio Organizations

As is the case for nearly all of our programs, it is important to us that we partner with your local organizations. When it is time for your school to take the next steps, we want you to have the most extensive and supportive network possible.

Programs free of cost
to our partnered teachers

We want to ensure there is as little a barrier to entry with all of our experiences in the outdoors—as it should be! We believe natural spaces and outdoor recreation should be available and easy to access for everyone in our communities. Because of this, we work to ensure that signing up for any of our Summer Series experiences is free of cost to you or your school.

Flexible Scheduling

With our Summer Series, we want to respect your summer while still offering fun opportunities to get outside and explore. As teachers and educators, the summer season is often a time to turn off your brain and rest, so our goal is to ensure that our Summer Series workshops and experiences are consistently spread out, optional, timely, and full of fun and recreation!
